Hawkfish Alert!

This is a Hawkfish caught by Wesley Brough in a rocky area near Cabo San Lucas.  The markings are quite stunning and they readily eat small lures slowly worked around rocks and near shore. The one below is my first from the rocks just up corridor from Cabo and was caught on the Sebile Magic Swimmer.  Notice the little rubbery fingers which are the pectorial fins.  The Hawkfish use these to hold onto the rocks in the turbulent water then launch themselves at prey as it passes by!!! COOL!

Below is another fine Hawkfish caught by Wesley Brough, this one ate the Sebile Stick Shadd in Blood Red White color!
