Dorado from the beach!

Late one evening surf fishing I had just released a small Roosterfish when something caught my eye…a splash as a small baitfish ran for it’s life. Running 50 yards down the beach I launched a long cast into the direction of the splash. Two cranks of the reel later I knew I wasn’t hooked up to a Sierra or Roosterfish. Fun to catch an “offshore” species from the beach!!! This was on my Terminal Angler list!

Hey, nice fish I was in Cabo when you caught that one. You gave me some line for my brother. Maybe you remember.. It was a pleasure meeting you Dave. Thanks for the fishing tips and all the advise we sure had fun. Hope to run into you again somewhere sometime fishing. I’ve been talking about the fishing since I got back. Sure Beats the icefishing. Keep casting, Joe

Great Dorado….cool that it’s from the beach. Just goes to show you the quantity and quality of fish at Cabo. You can have a ball from the beach! No boat needed.

However I know you want to tell everyone about the pending long-liners that will be slamming the area in even greater quantities!

    Keep after them!
